Page Versions and History

Creating content can be a lengthy process with requirements and copy evolving over time. Versions allow you to see a history of what changes were applied to the content and when.

Determining a Page's Version

The current version of a page is displayed in the Versioning and Audit Info section for a page in the Browse window. Click the chevron of the page to expand this section.

Browsing the Page History and Creating Versions

When editing a page, you can see the details of its history including who edited it when and what versions have been made.

  1. Click the History tab next to the content editor.

  2. The History tab opens.

    1. This history of page edits are listed in reverse chronological order, defaulting to the current status of the page.

    2. Edits to the page are listed in gray and can be expanded to show who edited the page and when.

    3. Versions of the page are listed in green.

  3. Click a version to view the page to select it and then the green arrow to view the page as it was at the point in time when the version was made.

  4. To revert to that version, click Restore, to continue browsing the history, click Cancel.

  5. To create a new version, click the plus next to Now at the top of the history timeline and provide a label.

  6. Press the enter key to save the label.

  7. Hover over the History label at the top of the version history to change the icon to the close icon to return to the editor.
